Job Overview:

We are seeking a Digital Transformation Manager to lead enterprise-wide change initiatives focused on digitisation, automation, and customer-centric innovation. This strategic role requires cross-functional leadership, business acumen, and deep knowledge of technology-driven transformation. The position is available to candidates based in South Africa or working remotely.

Reports to Chief Digital Officer, CEO, or Head of Strategy and Transformation

Key Responsibilities:

  • Define and implement the digital transformation roadmap in alignment with business strategy.

  • Lead change initiatives across business units to improve efficiency, customer experience, and data-driven decision-making.

  • Identify and evaluate opportunities for digitisation, automation, and process optimisation.

  • Collaborate with IT, operations, and business leaders to deliver digital programmes and initiatives.

  • Manage transformation workstreams, including technology rollouts, people enablement, and governance.

  • Monitor success metrics and drive continuous improvement based on performance data and feedback.

  • Support cultural change, training, and stakeholder engagement to ensure sustainable adoption.

  • Stay informed on digital trends, tools, and technologies relevant to the business.

Required Skills and Competencies:

  • Strategic thinking with strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

  • Understanding of digital tools, platforms, and transformation methodologies.

  • Proven leadership in managing cross-functional teams and large-scale change programmes.

  • Familiarity with Agile and Lean approaches to digital delivery.

  • Ability to influence stakeholders across all levels of the organisation.

Preferred Qualifications and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business, Information Technology, or Change Management.

  • 5+ years of experience in digital transformation, business consulting, or change leadership.

  • Certifications such as Prosci, AgilePM, or SAFe are advantageous.

  • Track record of delivering measurable outcomes in a corporate or enterprise setting.
