IT Programme Manager

Key Responsibilities:
Plan, manage, and deliver end-to-end IT programmes involving multiple concurrent projects.
Align programme goals with organisational strategy and business outcomes.
Coordinate cross-functional teams, vendors, and project managers to ensure consistent delivery.
Monitor programme progress, manage risks, and implement mitigation strategies.
Ensure effective communication with stakeholders, sponsors, and executive leadership.
Manage budgets, resources, and change control processes.
Track benefits realisation, ensuring business value is achieved upon programme completion.
Drive governance, reporting, and continuous improvement practices.
Required Skills and Competencies:
Strong understanding of IT infrastructure, software development, or digital transformation.
Proven ability to manage large, complex programme portfolios with competing priorities.
Skilled in stakeholder engagement, negotiation, and conflict resolution.
Proficiency in project/programme management tools (e.g. MS Project, Jira, Confluence).
Excellent communication, analytical, and leadership skills.
Understanding of Agile, Waterfall, and hybrid delivery models.
Preferred Qualifications and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or Business.
5+ years of experience in programme or senior project management.
PMP, PgMP, PRINCE2, or similar certification preferred.
Experience managing enterprise-scale IT or digital initiatives across geographically dispersed teams.
