Scrum Masters coach teams on Scrum practices, facilitate daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives. They remove impediments and support team self-organisation. Certification (CSM, PSM) and practical experience with Agile software teams are required.
Job Overview:
We are looking for an experienced Scrum Master to support Agile teams in delivering high-quality products and solutions. You will act as a servant leader, facilitating Scrum ceremonies, removing impediments, and promoting Agile values. This role is open to candidates based in South Africa or working remotely.

Key Responsibilities:
Facilitate Scrum events including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
Coach team members and stakeholders on Agile practices and mindset.
Shield the team from outside interruptions and remove blockers to progress.
Foster a culture of continuous improvement, collaboration, and accountability.
Support the Product Owner with backlog grooming and stakeholder communication.
Track team performance metrics and help optimise delivery velocity.
Ensure transparency through effective use of Agile project management tools.
Promote Agile best practices across the organisation.
Required Skills and Competencies:
Deep understanding of the Scrum framework and Agile methodologies.
Strong facilitation, coaching, and communication skills.
Proficiency with Agile tools such as Jira, Confluence, or Azure DevOps.
Ability to work with cross-functional and distributed teams.
Analytical and problem-solving abilities to address delivery challenges.
Preferred Qualifications and Experience:
Certified Scrum Master (CSM), Professional Scrum Master (PSM), or equivalent certification.
3+ years of experience in a Scrum Master or Agile Coach role.
Background in software development, digital projects, or product teams.
Exposure to scaled Agile frameworks such as SAFe, LeSS, or Nexus is a plus.
